In 1998 DBS pioneered the packaging and distribution of prepaid
wireless services through the extensive development and deployment
of its proprietary technology platform, the Cellular Service Management
System (CSMS). Today, DBS is positioning itself as the largest
independent provider of prepaid wireless service in the markets
in which it operates. In 2000, DBS introduced new capabilities
of CSMS allowing rapid wireless product configuration and management,
remote activation, and line inventory management. These innovations
facilitate our retail distribution base of thousands of retailers
and other distribution channels allowing them to provision and
support wireless communication products 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week, 365 days a year.
